#100 – 100th Episode Spectravaganza!

We celebrate our 100th episode by responding to your listener mail! The discussion is vigorous and wide-ranging, covering our favorite bits of Trek (as well as our least favorite), which episodes are most thought provoking, things Trek could have done better, what other fandoms each of us partakes in, and much, much more. Thanks to everyone who sent in their questions and comments, and here’s looking to another 100 episodes (at least)!

Next week: We get our first look at the all new Star Trek: Prodigy with its first episode, “Lost and Found”!

Note that this and all episodes of the It’s Got Star Trek podcast contain explicit language and, frankly, an unnecessary amount of offensive content, so the show is intended only for adults and really really cool kids.

#24 – ‘Rogue Planet’ Enterprise S1E18

Captain Archer is an explorer at heart, though he may not have expected to explore himself! Join your increasingly wacky hosts as they discuss sexy flatworms, unusual pigs, and the transitional vibe of Enterprise straddling the pre- and post-9/11 world.

We’d also like to thank the fine folks at Feedspot for adding the It’s Got Star Trek podcast to their list of the Top 60 Star Trek podcasts. We highly recommend visiting that list as it is packed with amazing podcasts to help you fill the crushing void in between our episodes.

Next week: We travel to Sigma Iotia II in an attempt to get “A Piece of the Action” – join us next Saturday as we examine the seventeenth episode of TOS’ second season.

#5 – ‘Broken Bow’ Enterprise Pilot

In this, the newest installment of the It’s Got Star Trek podcast, your gradually aging hosts analyze the pilot episode of (Star Trek:) Enterprise, ‘Broken Bow.’  We praise the writing and acting, question the inclusion of the “sexy” decontamination scene (while cheering on the “sexy” alien frog-tongued girls), and generally swoon over the hottness of Scott Bakula.

Podjam Trektacular

Just a few more days until the It’s Got Star Trek podcast officially launches! To get things started, your hosts will be doing a series of episodes focused on the Star Trek pilot episodes, starting with a double-bill of “The Cage” and “Where No Man Has Gone Before” from TOS. That will be followed the next week by The Next Generation’s “Encounter at Farpoint” then the week after that we’ll have Deep Space Nine’s “Emissary” and – wouldn’t you know it! – the week after that we’ll totally be tubing down Voyager’s “Caretaker” river and spilling out into Enterprise’s “Broken Bow.” But what will come next, you might be wondering? How will you handle the pattern-breaking launch of Discovery? Well, by covering “The Vulcan Hello” and “Battle at the Binary Stars” in one episode, followed by “Context is for Kings” in a follow-up installment. Now you might be wondering, are these fools actually going to keep this up? Well, I can assure you that these fools will – and my assurance is ironclad as we’ve already recorded all this noise. Anyway, don’t get upset, just relax and enjoy this preview podjam on a loop until Thursday, December 5 (maybe at midnight? who knows?!).
